A Debt Collection Clerk is simply someone who collects debts. They are not authorised to Levy Distress for Rent, Road Traffic Debts, Council Tax, or Non–Domestic Rates, nor can they cannot enforce collection of money under a High Court or County Court Order.

A Debt Collection Clerk is to investigate sales documents, understand the clients documentation and possible documentation for the debtor to ensure time and money is not wasted due to non proof of debt documentation.
