Enforcement of CCJ with Writ of Control     

If a CCJ is granted to you, the creditor, for a debt above £600, you can choose to transfer a CCJ to the High Court in order to gain a Writ of Control levied against assets and enforced by an Enforcement Officer/Bailiff authorised by the High Court.

Writ of Control enforced by High Court Enforcement Officer (HCEO)      

The High Court Enforcement Officer (HCEO)enforces this Writ of Control on the doorstep of the debtor’s premises. There are strict legal rules governing enforcement. So, ensure that enforcement is done lawfully yet efficiently by obtaining a High Court Writ which will nominate one of our preferred High Court Bailiffs (Enforcement Officers) as is your right.

Notice of Enforcement issued - HCEO attends premises 7 days later   

The Court will send the defendant a “Notice of Enforcement” that a writ has been issued and, if no payment is received after seven days, the High Court Enforcement Officer (HCEO)  will attend his premises to try to collect payment or to take goods and chattels from the defendant. These goods and chattels will be removed to be sold at auction.
